California Casual Kitchen Update
The original kitchen on this Sacramento was too small for this family of four who love to entertain. Why not absorb the bedroom next to the kitchen in order to create a big working kitchen that now keeps guests separate from the cooking action. We lightened up the space with bright whites and cool blues for some fun contrast, and it came together as an airy, expansive space that the family now loves.
Fresh + Clean in Shingle Springs
We took a dated kitchen, with a dysfunctional bar in the corner, and a peninsula that cut off the working space and flow of traffic and then we completely reworked it. Now it is modern and timeless all at the same time, with a punch of color in the hex zellige green backsplash. We wanted to make sure we created s space for everything to go, from the junk mail to the mixer. Now, everything and everyone has it's place.
Retirement Retreat
Knowing this would be their forever home, the homeowner wanted to get it ready for the next phase of their life, retirement. We took this dated ranch home and updated every square inch. The main focus was the primary bath which was a remodel of not one, but two baths combined, creating a primary suite dreams are made of and a walk in closet to die for. The entire home exudes a calming feeling throughout, with fun touches in small places.
Modern Hills Home
Designing this sleek and modern kitchen for this amazing family was such a treat for us at JRI. This Serrano home was dated and needed a fresh vibe to match this family's personalities. They gave us total trust and it shows in the outcome. From the beautiful waterfall edge detail on the dark stained island, to the tiled in hood that makes a subtle statement, and giving the family room a sense of space and purpose, no detail was left behind. This space will always be a favorite for our team.
Project Redstone
We designed a complete remodel for a 4000 square foot home that was stuck in the early 2000’s, and transformed it into a modern and comfortable home in Granite Bay, CA. We knocked down every wall, and the cathedral style arches that were in every room, and simplified everything, giving it a warm and inviting vibe. Their one request was to get rid of anything that looked or felt like the early 2000’s design that haunts the region and make it a home where they can come together with their family to do the things they love, cook, play games and being together.

Black + White Classic Kitchen Update
This classic space was our first kitchen as a company and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. One can never go wrong with the simple elegance of black and white together, as we've seen in design through every decade. This beautiful space will always be timeless from the inset shaker cabinets, to the classic subway backsplash - we would be surprised if this ever looks dated.

Jennifer was the “key” in our whole-house remodel. She helped define our vision in both design and decor, and her talent and experience guided us through the project. She was patient as we made changes to our original plan, particularly with the design of our master bath and closet. Our remodel was a long-time dream, and I was not always confident when making choices for the permanent design. Jennifer was knowledgeable, understanding, encouraging, kind and enthusiastic throughout the process. She narrowed my choices for items based on our individual “look” so that decisions would be less overwhelming and everything in our home would flow together. I quickly learned to trust Jennifer’s guidance, appreciated her honesty and always enjoyed working with her. I was amazed at her many talents, particularly when determining the appropriate size of items in a space (i.e. mirrors, furniture, pictures…) She also helped me to incorporate older/sentimental pieces in my remodeled home - assisting with placing items where I never imagined them! I am delighted with the outcome of our remodel, and will always be grateful to Jennifer for her guidance.
